CAD Designer III

About the role

Description CAD Designer III is responsible for producing project deliverables for various types of surveying projects including transmission and distribution pipelines, regulating and metering stations, natural gas well pads, compressor stations, gas processing, pump stations, and more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pipeline easement plats, permits and alignment sheets using Skyline and Civil3d.
• Prepare project deliverables for all types of survey projects including E & P well plats, Unit plats and well staking drawings.
• Work closely with CAD Manager on maintaining quality of mapping deliverables.
• Collaborate with survey technicians and mapping leads on meeting project deadlines.
• Support all aspects of the project as a fully competent and independent mapper.
• Effectively communicate problems/project issues to the project team and project managers.

Requirements

• CST I required, CST II or III preferred.
• 7-10 years CAD work experience with progressive degrees of skill and responsibility.
• Strong survey background.
• Blue Sky Certification for Skyline or ability to become certified.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD software.
• Proficiency in Global Mapper or ArcMap.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience developing CAD standards and training others on utilization of such.
• Able to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
• Able to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Able to work in a team environment and willing to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
• Able to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
• Able to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

Is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds.
