About the role
The CAD Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Perrysburg, OH.
Responsibilities
- Create and update detailed technical and construction drawings, 3D models, and mechanical layouts using CAD software.
- Support tooling, assemblies, and component part production by preparing documentation for machining and assembly.
- Maintain organized design files and assist in design revisions to improve manufacturability and performance.
- Support design reviews and contribute to problem-solving for manufacturing issues.
- Cook with engineers, machinists, and project teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Design Engineering for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Drawing for clear, accurate representation of part geometry and specifications.
- Experience creating and interpreting Construction Drawings and engineering documentation for manufacturing applications.
- Knowledge of machining processes, materials, tolerances, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints, customer specifications, and industry standards.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with engineers, machinists, and project teams.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
- A degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
