About the role
We are seeking a driven CAD Design Specialist / Mechanical Design Associate to support our Engineering group. This opportunity is ideal for both early-career professionals with a degree in CAD Design, Drafting Technology, Mechanical Design, or Engineering Technology, as well as experienced designers looking to expand their expertise in product development and manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update 3D CAD models and production drawings utilizing SolidWorks.
- Produce detailed component, weldment, and assembly documentation for manufacturing.
- Generate and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of new and existing product lines.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing by addressing drawing discrepancies and design-related concerns.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Support.
- Prepare technical guides, installation documents, and related product documentation.
- Assist with prototype builds, performance evaluations, and design verification activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Drafting & Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a comparable technical discipline; equivalent hands-on experience may also be considered.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Ability to interpret and develop detailed engineering and production drawings.
- Familiarity with fabrication methods including welding, machining, and sheet metal processing.
- Strong organizational abilities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Initiative-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and eagerness to expand technical knowledge.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
