Cable Technician
About the role
This role involves working with low voltage cables such as CAT5/CAT6/Fiber optic cable. It is not an electrical role and does not lead to electrical hours. The typical workday includes commuting to the job site in the morning and working 40-45 hours per week, with overtime being optional and voluntary.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain low voltage cables
- Perform routine inspections and repairs
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with low voltage systems (CAT5/CAT6/Fiber optic)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to job sites within the area

- Basic knowledge of low voltage systems
- Good communication and problem-solving skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
Schedule
The role will convert to a permanent position at the end of the 6 month contract.
