Cable Puller

This is a Contract to Hire position based in Lake Mary, FL, with an anticipated close date of Aug 28, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and manage CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cabling through cable trays, racks, and conduits.
• Terminate copper (patch panels, jacks) and fiber (LC, SC) connectors; test and certify links using equipment like Fluke analyzers.
• Install racks, cabinets, cable pathways, and supporting hardware as part of infrastructure build-out.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and repair cabling faults and connectivity issues.
• Adhere to all safety procedures (OSHA, NFPA), including safe use of ladders and lift equipment.
• Label all cables and ports, and update documentation or as-built drawings.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of low-voltage cabling systems and standard practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Proficiency with crimpers, punch-down tools, and cable testers.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
