Cable Puller
Contract position based in Lenoir, NC. Anticipated to close on Aug 28, 2026.
About the role
This is a fully onsite, entry-level cable technician role. You will work under supervision to pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to TIA/EIA standards, assist with RJ45 and patch-panel terminations, and learn basic punch-downs on telecom blocks. You will also support cable testing using tools like Fluke and EXFO, gain exposure to fiber-cable handling, and follow all safety and housekeeping protocols.
Responsibilities
- Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling per TIA/EIA standards
- Begin RJ45 connector and patch-panel terminations with guidance
- Label and identify cables
- Perform basic punch-downs on telecom blocks
- Support cable testing using Fluke, EXFO, and other basic tools under supervision
- Gain exposure to fiber-cable dressing and basic handling
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Take direction from technicians and supervisors
Requirements
- No prior experience in a META data-center environment within the last six months
- Basic familiarity with construction or low-voltage work is helpful but not required

Schedule
Mon–Sat, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM (1st and 2nd shifts). Overtime and Saturday work may be required.
Pay
Hourly rate: $20.00 – $25.00. Individual compensation within this range depends on qualifications, skills, experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
