Cable Production Line Operator
About the role
The Production Line Operator is responsible for the day-to-day duties in running equipment to produce quality products, safely and in a timely manner. Work in a safe manner at all times while following all safety policies and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Identifies any potential safety hazards to Supervisor or HSE Manager to promote the “Zero and Beyond” safety goal/initiative.
Responsibilities
- Maintains product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of product.
- Performing setups in accordance with established procedures.
- Loading/unloading equipment.
- Working from written and verbal instructions, procedures, and work orders.
- Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality.
- Participating in cross-training activities.
- Performing other duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution (Preferred).
- Basic mathematic skills; adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and basic percentages.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Must be able to stand up to 12 hours per day.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.
- Must be able to lift to 35 pounds occasionally.
- Opportunity to be trained and drive forklift if needed.
- Must be able to work in a High Performing Team Environment with limited supervision.
