Cable Installer
About the role
We are currently hiring Cable Technicians / Installers to support structured cabling projects across commercial environments in the Columbus area. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within the low-voltage industry, with strong potential for full-time conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and route Cat5e/Cat6 cable under direction of lead technicians
- Perform cable termination, punch-downs, and patch panel work
- Assist with installation of racks, servers, j-hooks, and support structures
- Read and follow project specs and manufacturer guidelines
- Work in commercial and healthcare environments
- Ensure quality work is completed right the first time (DIRTFT)
- Maintain daily/weekly production goals
Required Skills (Must-Have)
- Proven experience with structured cabling installation
- Hands-on termination experience (Cat5e/Cat6 required)
- Experience with punch-downs, jacks, and patch panels
- Ability to use basic hand tools (snips, wire strippers, punch-down tools, etc.)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
- Reliable transportation
- Commitment to job site safety and attendance policies
Nice to Have
- Fiber experience
- Experience in commercial cabling environments
- Ability to read blueprints or construction diagrams

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
