Cabinetry Technician Trainee

About the role

The Cabinetry Technician Trainee will learn to fabricate complex cabinetry and other wood-surfaced subassemblies under close supervision, ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate high-quality cabinetry, divans, ledges, etc., in compliance with Comlux approved procedures.
  • Interpret material specs and engineering drawings within 90 days to ensure cabinetry meets design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
  • Request material needs from approved data in a timely manner to maintain a continuous workflow.
  • Adhere to all regulatory documentation regarding proper sign-offs within 90 days, ensuring paperwork is completed in accordance with Comlux RSQM and other quality standards.
  • Follow all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
  • Gain basic knowledge of company installation procedures, process specs, IOPs, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, but not covered herein.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the Cabinetry build process as it specifically relates to the corporate aviation industry, in a completions environment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the Cabinetry build process as it specifically relates to the corporate aviation industry, in a completions environment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the Cabinetry build processes.
  • Willingness to obtain knowledge of the RSQM and FAA requirements as it relates to Cabinetry build and installation.
  • Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by Comlux.
  • Willingness to obtain working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques.
  • Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating, and tactful manner.
