Cabinet Sanding & Prep Technician

About the role

Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and take pride in producing quality work? We welcome you to join our team as a Sanding & Prep Technician. You’ll play an important role in preparing custom cabinetry for the high-quality painted and stained finishes that go into luxury homes and commercial projects throughout the greater Charlotte area.

Responsibilities

• Sand cabinet parts, panels, doors, edges, and profiles to finish-ready standards
• Follow established sanding methods and grit sequences for different materials and finishes
• Remove glue, mill marks, handling damage, and other surface defects
• Protect edges, profiles, and veneers from rounding or sand-through
• Inspect your work and correct sanding defects before parts move to finishing
• Properly protect, stack, and stage completed parts
• Maintain steady production while meeting MHC quality standards

Requirements

• Experience with orbital sanders and hand-sanding tools preferred (will train as needed)
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize surface defects
• Ability to consistently produce quality work with minimal rework
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb throughout the workday
• Willingness to learn MHC sanding, quality, and safety standards

Pay

Competitive pay – based upon experience + quarterly bonus program

Schedule

Mon to Thr 6:30am – 4:30 pm; Fri 6:30am – 12:00 pm; Flexibility to work some overtime as needed
