Cabinet Maker / Furniture Maker

Metrica, rooted in a 17th-century workshop in Münster, Germany, has evolved into a global interior outfitter of superyachts, legacy-grade residences, and custom furniture. Across Germany, Austria, and the United States, our master makers, engineers, and project leaders combine craftsmanship, technical expertise, and material understanding to deliver custom interiors of exceptional detail and complexity. Key Responsibilities

• Craft custom furniture and millwork to the highest quality standards
• Read and interpret shop drawings, layouts, and specifications
• Perform milling, assembly, veneering, and prep for finishing
• Work independently on projects from start to finish
• Execute precise joinery and advanced woodworking techniques
• Maintain and sharpen hand tools (chisels, planes, etc.)
• Protect materials and in-progress work throughout fabrication
• Track time and meet project deadlines (occasional overtime may be needed)
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
• Help lead projects and support team members when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in a woodworking or cabinet shop (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, tools, and setup
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the fly
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Mechanical aptitude and strong manual dexterity
• Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills
• Willingness to learn, grow, and share knowledge with others
• Pride in craftsmanship and a humble, professional attitude

Location & Benefits

• Location: Northampton, MA (must be able to reliably commute or relocate)
• Salary: $18 - $30/hour, based on experience and skill level
