Cabinet Maker

About the role

The Cabinetmaker works from specifications and is responsible to set up and operate power saws, joiners, planes, mortisers and other woodworking equipment to create custom cabinets and millwork to exacting quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Works from specifications to create custom cabinets and millwork
• Sets up and operates power saws, joiners, planes, mortisers and other woodworking equipment
• Creates high-end custom cabinetry using solid wood and other materials
• Lays out and constructs custom cabinets and millwork to exacting quality standards

Requirements

• Three to five years' experience in a millwork shop
• Mechanically inclined individual who likes to work with their hands
• Thorough understanding of woodworking techniques, including solid wood and other materials, methods and tools involved in the layout and construction of high-end custom cabinetry
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Adequate measurement and math skills
• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (mainly via email)
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Valid driver's license required
• Trade school graduate a plus
