As a Cabinet Finisher/Craft Worker, you will assemble a wide variety of interior fixtures (i.e., cabinets, galleys, desks, bulkheads, stereo cabinets, etc.) and install into the aircraft according to blueprints and interior contours while selecting the appropriate materials, equipment and tooling to perform the work.

What you'll do

  • Perform cabinetry finishing work on aircraft interiors under the direction of a Crew Chief
  • Accomplish cabinetry finishing by utilizing blueprints, sketches, design drawings or design specifications
  • Assist in planning and perform a variety of finishing operations including sanding, spraying, staining, and buffing
  • May assist with reassembling cabinet hardware when needed
  • Utilize power tools and other equipment to accomplish cabinetry modifications (i.e., dual pump gun, heated pump gun, cup gun, D.A. sander, finish sander, buffer, and U.V. equipment, etc.)
  • Comply with all safety practices and participate in facility general housekeeping efforts
  • Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting and continuously improving company practices and procedures
  • May perform other duties as required by the department

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must have proven technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Must have proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools (power planners, jointers, table saws, routers, sanders, miter boxes and portable power equipment)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior cabinetry experience in the aviation industry preferred

Schedule

  • Will train on 1st shift 6am-2:30pm with possible OT and then move to 2nd shift Mon-Fri 2p-10:30p with possible OT (once trained and expectations are met)

Pay

  • $23.54 per hour
