About the role

The Cabinet Assembler operates a variety of woodworking machines and uses hand-tools to assemble retail store displays. This position integrates materials such as plastics, metals, and electronics into the displays.

Responsibilities

• Operates woodworking machines (power saws, jointer, planer, shaper) to cut and shape wood parts
• Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit
• Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels
• Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies to form complete units
• Drives nails or other fasteners into joints to reinforce them
• Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints to prepare for finishing
• Installs hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawers
• Fosters a culture valuing family, innovation, collaboration, and empowerment
• Follows all safety and workplace policies
• Flexibility to travel between multiple locations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment or similar
• Excellent assembly skills with emphasis on quality and productivity
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment

Pay

$20.00 – $25.00 / hour
