Summary of Position: The Cabinet Assembler is responsible for the complete assembly process of a cabinet.
- Must comply with and promote a Safety-First Culture.
- Responsible for placing the frame facing down on worktable; applying glue in frame and end grooves as necessary; stapling the end panels and bottom to the frame; stapling the cabinet back to the end panels; installing the toe kick on the cabinet; placing the shelf in cabinet; installation of corner blocks on the cabinet (4), install doors/skins of the cabinet; loading cabinet pallet for packaging.
- Inspect all parts of the cabinet before assembly for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exist, notify your Mill team members and order correct parts.
- Inspect each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately, and that the necessary finishes have been applied.
- Repairing elements of cabinets that have been sent in for servicing.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Ability to meet deadlines, exhibit great attention to detail and communicate in a professional, concise manner is essential.
- A thorough understanding of standard business practices, problem-solving issues in a rapid environment and a clients-first attitude is necessary for success.
- Familiarity with cabinet fabrication, terminology or similar industry experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to use various pneumatic tools to perform work functions.
- Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of cabinet manufacturing experience.
- Experience with pneumatic tools, saws, drills and hand tools.
- Must be able to lift +50 lbs. Regularly throughout the day.
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32nd inch.
- Must adhere to 5S principles and responsible for the cabinet areas housekeeping.
