Position Overview
Cabinet Assemblers construct custom architectural millwork, ensuring precision and quality. Responsibilities encompass reading blueprints, cutting and shaping wood, and assembling parts with appropriate tools.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Assemble millwork by accurately placing screws and bolts in designated holes to ensure structural integrity, in a timely manner that meets the production schedule and quality requirements.
- Execute tasks meticulously and precisely to contribute to the organization's future growth and maintain quality standards.
- Pay attention to detail to identify any repair or replacement needs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Fasten joints and subassemblies together using screws, nails, or other adhesives.
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks onto cabinets.
- Sand and finish cabinets to ensure a smooth, polished surface.
- Inspect finished cabinets to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Clean and maintain tools and work area.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Must display a high degree of manual dexterity and have basic hand tool knowledge.
- Must be able to read and use tape measure for precise measurements.
- Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals.
- Must have strong math skills, focus, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.
