CABIN & ACTIVITY COUNSELOR

About the role

Camp Fern Legacy is seeking individuals passionate about working with children to join our team. Counselors, cabin and activity counselors, dining service staff, grounds and maintenance team members, stable hands, and activity area department heads are all integral parts of our camp community.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes and lead activities ranging from water sports to ropes courses.
• Build lasting relationships with campers and fellow staff members.
• Ensure campers are safe and engaged in fun, educational experiences.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Participate in community-building activities and events.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Mentally and physically prepared for a busy, active summer.
• Positive attitude and a servant-hearted approach.
• Comfortable working outdoors in the summer heat.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in outdoor education or related fields.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
