About the role

This position offers an educational and practical learning experience for students, integrating academic knowledge with workplace skills.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in planned and education-related work experiences.
  • Recommend resolutions to administrative or business problems.
  • Provide administrative support services to assigned program areas.
  • Perform special duties as assigned.
  • Assume responsibility for special projects and assignments.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an Associate’s degree program or higher.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment.
  • Maintain a full-time graduate status taking 9 or more credit hours per semester at a college/university before and following internship.
  • Maintain a full-time undergraduate status taking 12 or more credit hours per semester at a community college or 4-year college/university before and following internship.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of business principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of office policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and reach logical conclusions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interpret laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites to include Word, Excel and Access.
  • Skill in collecting and analyzing data and preparing reports or presentations.

Skills

  • Ability to anticipate problems, provide solutions, follow instructions, learn quickly, and collaborate with teammates.
  • Ability to make quality and timely decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
