About the role

The Software Engineer position is part of Regions' Technology department. This role oversees application development, modification, and maintenance, ensuring systems run smoothly and creating reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development and installation of new hardware and software
• Installs and configures systems and other software
• Tests installed software for malfunction detection
• Identifies and resolves business systems issues
• Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems
• Makes measurements of effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
• Develops and implements strategies to improve systems
• Maintains monitoring and testing of system performance
• Performs work with some independence of thought, but refers more complex problems to senior associates or supervisor/manager
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Three (3) years of experience

Skills and Competencies

• Collaborates with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve a common objective
• Conducts system analysis to detect issues with performance
• Develops and implements technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
• Interprets and ensures compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
• Manages software testing techniques, code optimization, and software debugging
• Communicates effectively, analyzes, and solves problems
• Understands software structures, hardware, computing systems, and how to integrate them

Pay and Benefits

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position. Minimum Job Range Target: $87,861.95 USD Median $117,680.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans This job is not incentive eligible.
