C NA Floater Position / 30 hours a week

About the role

BAYADA is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and dependable caregivers to join our team. We are looking for individuals with open availability who are committed to providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Prepare and serve meals and assist with feeding.
• Assist with range of motion/exercises.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers, including use of mechanical lifting devices.
• Provide medication reminders and perform vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration.

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience.
• Experience with Hoyer lifts.
• Ability to provide care for a variety of client needs.
• Comfort working in homes with smokers and pets.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support clients wherever needed.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Commitment to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
