Description

The McHenry Management Group (TMMG) is seeking an Integrated Master Schedule Lead to support the Landing Ship Medium (LSM) Program. This role requires a background check, US Citizenship, and a secret clearance.

About the role

The Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Lead is responsible for developing, managing, and governing the program level schedule that integrates all phases of ship construction, including material procurement, unit fabrication, outfitting, system integration, testing, startup, and trials.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, manages, and governs the program level schedule that integrates all phases of ship construction.
  • Ensures that the IMS accurately reflects the full sequence of activities and milestones required to deliver the ship, from early long lead procurement through delivery and post delivery work.
  • Works across engineering, planning, operations, supply chain, quality, and test organizations to provide the authoritative schedule framework that aligns all departments to program objectives.
  • Provides clear, data-driven insight into schedule performance and forecasted outcomes through proactive analysis, schedule health monitoring, and critical path governance.
  • Prepares and tracks all assigned project schedules.
  • Facilitates regular communication with project/program managers on the status of assigned projects.
  • Coordinates the implementation of customer solutions through development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project schedule development, schedule tracking, schedule analysis, and reporting.
  • Performs complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, and tools related to reporting and managing project estimates, schedule control, risk management, and cost control.
  • Administers and coordinates the development, integration, and maintenance of the master schedule.
  • Mentors peers, PMs, and project teams on scheduling-related issues.
  • Evaluates developments and improvements in project management software technology and assesses suitability for use on assigned projects.
  • Provides guidance on the effective use of project management tools.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' Primavera P6 scheduling experience including cost loading and resource loading capabilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years in shipbuilding, naval vessel construction, and/or large-scale defense acquisition programs.
  • Proven experience in developing, maintaining, forecasting, and controlling project schedules.
  • Able to develop a baseline program/production schedules using contract plans and specifications.
  • Able to develop and maintain cost and resource loading within the baseline schedule.
  • Experience supporting shipboard testing, quality assurance, inspections, construction management, commissioning, or production.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with shipboard mechanical, electrical, auxiliary, or piping systems.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to work full-time on-site within an active shipyard environment throughout vessel construction.
  • Ability to spend the majority of each workday walking through shipyard facilities and vessels under construction.
  • Ability to climb ladders, navigate multiple decks, enter machinery spaces, and access confined or restricted areas while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods during vessel inspections and testing activities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment, drawings, computers, and safety equipment weighing up to approximately 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy industrial equipment, elevated noise levels, changing weather conditions, waterfront operations, and active construction sites.
  • Ability to occasionally support extended work hours during critical testing events, dock trials, harbor trials, sea trials, and vessel delivery milestones.

Education/Certification Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Equivalent military or commercial shipbuilding experience may be substituted for formal education.
