C&I Full-Time Faculty Support - Fall 2026
About the role
The Faculty Support Graduate Assistantship (GA) for Fall 2026 is located at the Marshall University Graduate College (MUGC) in South Charleston, within the Educational Doctoral Program (MU2840) of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. The GA will assist faculty by supervising laboratories, grading quizzes, homework, and other projects, and supporting course‑ and research‑related duties. The role involves working collaboratively with faculty to support teaching, scholarship, and program initiatives, including serving as a teaching assistant, developing instructional and program resources, supporting student engagement, assisting with event planning, participating in research activities, and adhering to Marshall University and the College of Education and Professional Development’s professional expectations, FERPA requirements, confidentiality standards, and communication practices.
Responsibilities
- Supervising laboratories under faculty supervision
- Grading quizzes, homework, and other projects
- Assisting with other course and research related duties as assigned
- Serving as a teaching assistant
- Developing instructional and program resources
- Supporting student engagement
- Assisting with event planning
- Participating in research‑related activities
- Completing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Earned master’s degree in education or a related field
- Admission to and continued enrollment in the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) or Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) major in Curriculum and Instruction
- Basic proficiency with computer applications and educational technologies
Preferred:
- Completed course work or professional interests related to teaching, learning, assessment, or research
- Experience teaching in an education setting
Schedule
Fall 2026 semester appointment: 20 hours per week (full‑time GA schedule).
