About the role

The C-12 King Air - UC-35 Citation Army Transport Aircraft Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector is responsible for auditing and analyzing aircraft maintenance, training, environmental health and safety programs, policies, processes and procedures, ensuring that performance and quality conform to established standards and guidelines to ensure lasting customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Audit and analyze aircraft maintenance, training, environmental health and safety programs, policies, processes and procedures.
• Document failures and quality escapes.
• Interpret governmental regulations, agency guidelines, internal policies and technical procedures to ensure compliance.
• Implement and audit processes and programs.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Enforce compliance of operational personnel, company requirements and government regulations.
• Review operational reports to determine safety requirements.
• Provide leadership and knowledge to Quality department members and teams.
• Implement and ensure compliance in the ISO-9001:2008 program.
• Maintain inspection schedules and verify procedures are followed.
• Assist in Maintenance Data Systems Analysis.
• Review company and Government documents and software for content accuracy and compliance.
• Initiate actions to resolve adverse maintenance trends or training problems.
• Maintain QA programs to ensure compliance, accuracy and timely reporting.
• Present information to senior leadership and customers effectively.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is desired; High School diploma or GED equivalent is Required.
• A valid (FAA) A&P certificate is Required.
• (FAA) "IA" Inspection Authorization is desired, or have the ability to obtain an IA if requested or required.
• A minimum of Five (5) years Aviation maintenance experience on the C-12/King Air (200/350/1900) or RC-12 is Required, UC-35 Citation experience and knowledge is preferred and desired.
• Five (5) or more years’ experience in any combination of the following areas: US Army Aviation Maintenance Quality Assurance, International Standardization Organization (ISO)-9000 or Aviation Safety and Environmental Compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of Army aviation maintenance processes with an emphasis on AR 95.20 requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of Commercial and (FAA) Quality process and systems.
• Broad working knowledge of ISO-9001 Quality systems and familiarity with the ISO/AS 9100 Quality standards and FAA 14 CFR Part 145 regulatory requirements.
• Broad knowledge of industrial safety programs, workers’ compensation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and Code of Federal Regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, with effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work any shift and weekends if requested due to operational requirements.
• Willing and able to work in a normal office environment, hangar, flightline, inspecting aircraft.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance and for facility access.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization.
• 75% of workday in office environment, 25% of work time spent out (hangar, flightline) inspecting aircraft.

• Exposure to extreme noise from operating equipment.
• Exposure to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.

Pay

$90,000 to $120,000

Schedule

75% of workday in office environment, 25% of work time spent out (hangar, flightline) inspecting aircraft.

Security Clearance Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization.
• US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.

Additional Preferred and Physical Qualifications

• Willing and able to work any shift and weekends if requested due to operational requirements.
• Current work schedule is on-site Five (5) days a week, for 40 hours a week. Weekends are on an as needed basis only.
• Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature, may work in a hangar, or maintenance shop and/or outside as needed.
• May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
• May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.
• May be exposed to lifting up to 50 lbs.
• May be exposed to bending, stooping, crouching and crawling in tight locations of small aircraft.
