About the role

C-12 King Air / UC-35 Cessna Citation - Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P).

Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on Army C-12 King Air (200, 350, 1900) and/or UC-35 Cessna Citation aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Services, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
  • Performs tasks on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
  • Complies with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
  • Ensures aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
  • Knows and understands the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
  • Performs aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
  • Performs engine run or taxi operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate.
  • US Citizenship for Secret Security Clearance and facility access.
  • Ability to move freely about the aircraft and meet specific weight limits.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Willingness to work second shift (1400-10:30 CDT).
  • Pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional.
  • Pass a physical examination every 5 years.
  • BMI under 40.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Two to ten years of A&P and C-12/UC-35 experience.
  • Three levels of A&P mechanic employment based on years of specific hands-on experience on the assigned aircraft.

Pay

Pay ranges from $46.38 per hour up to $53.91 per hour depending on years of experience with the aircraft.

Schedule

Second Shift is Required, Monday-Friday 40 hours a week. Second shift hours are 1400-10:30 (CDT).

Security Clearance Requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.
