Bywood Elementary - MTSS Tutor - (August 2026)

About the role

MTSS Tutors are needed for Bywood Elementary School. This is a 10‑month part‑time position paying $38.63 per hour, up to 700 hours per school year. The MTSS Interventionist will provide direct intervention for students who need support in reading and will assist with the development of a systematic school‑wide approach to MTSS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of academic interventions for students in need of support towards meeting course standards.
• Use data to identify students for Tier 2 or 3 intervention support.
• Deliver research‑based strategies and techniques to support students individually or in small groups.
• Assist teachers and instructional staff in addressing student learning using the MTSS framework; provide guidance on strategies, tools, and techniques to effectively teach all students.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• Valid state certification
• Knowledge of the MTSS model and how to implement interventions
• Knowledge of current research on academic interventions
• Experience working with and developing programs for diverse groups of students
• Ability to analyze data and use data to drive decision‑making

Pay

$38.63 per hour, up to 700 hours per school year.
