Byram Healthcare Pharmacy Technician

About the role

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22-$23 an hour. The schedule is M-F from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound pharmacy customer calls
• Make outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, referrals, and insurance carriers
• Resolve customer issues including billing and insurance denials with insurance carriers
• Establish and maintain patient profiles including lists of medications, insurance, billing, and provider information
• Process orders using Enterprise Rx; gather patient demographics and billing information to complete requested orders and to obtain prior authorizations
• Affords pharmacists on an as-needed basis; maintaining inventory, stocking pharmacy, preparing and dispensing medication
• Supplemental duties as directed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Resident State Pharmacy Technician License
• 1-2 years pharmacy technician experience
• Knowledge of insurance, pharmacy authorization, and billing
• Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
• Spanish speaking a plus
