Responsibilities
- Works on scheduled days as directed, in relation to production scheduling and or time volunteered for.
- Drives manure tractors trucks, loads, hauls and spreads manure according to EPA guidelines by logging all loads.
- Completes a "Manure Load" form for accounting department to invoice customers, form includes customer name, date spread, and number of loads delivered.
- Assists the Manure Maintenance department with daily maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of all manure handling equipment when not driving.
- Assists drivers and or House People with maintenance issues as needed and or as directed.
- Covers all outgoing loads to insure waste product is not lost during trip.
- Regularly cleans their truck cabs and trailers as needed in the appropriate truck cleaning areas.
- Brought any damages or need for repairs to the attention of the truck mechanic and Maintenance Lead immediately.
- Daily equipment inspection before use each day.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Less than high school education.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
