About the Role

This full-time position sources and procures goods and services for projects, technical, and marine needs. The Senior Analyst, Security Operations validates specifications, negotiates with suppliers, and ensures timely delivery of goods and services to operational vessels or projects. The role involves processing a high volume of orders and offering cost-saving alternatives.

Responsibilities

  • Receive requisitions for goods/services and clarify needs with requestors.
  • Source and negotiate specified requirements or seek alternatives from various suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Make procurement decisions based on price, availability, transportation, and delivery schedules.
  • Provide cost-saving recommendations and analysis for customer and management selection.
  • Liaise with shipboard/shoreside personnel, suppliers, and logistics to ensure uninterrupted delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance for consistent service, quality, and cost-effectiveness; address deviations with management.
  • Process emergency orders for compliance with USPH and USCG requirements, including obtaining approvals and completing transportation forms.
  • Process contract orders in accordance with established terms and conditions.
  • Research and resolve issues such as delivery failures, discrepancies, and invoice disputes.
  • Meet with customers regularly to provide status updates on open orders.
  • Travel to ships, suppliers, or project sites for loadings, audits, or other duties as required (up to 20% of the time).
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-5 years of procurement experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Demonstrate common sense and urgency in business transactions.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
