Responsibilities
- Execute sourcing strategies for goods and services required to support manufacturing operations.
- Cook up supplier selection and sourcing initiatives, foster supplier relationships, and collaborate with Quality to add suppliers to ASL (Approved Supplier List).
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive improvements.
- Purchase and coordinate movement of materials and supplies to meet production schedule and requirements.
- Create purchase orders, including supporting documentation for completeness and clarity; communicate purchase orders to suppliers and confirm delivery schedule.
- Maintain target inventory levels and budgeted cost; minimize excess or scrap of obsolete materials.
- Mitigate supply risks, actively monitor status of open purchase orders, expedite when needed to avoid disruptions in supply.
- Manage and resolve issues regarding purchase orders, invoicing discrepancies, returns, nonconformances and corrective actions with suppliers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance for issue resolution or process improvements.
- Support MRP system related activities and data maintenance, including reporting, item/BOM creation and updates, corrections, and improvements.
- Support R&D and Engineering with supplier setup, material readiness, and qualification activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Skills For Success
- Associate degree or equivalent APICS certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing/planning in medical device industry with knowledge of GMP practices and ISO 13485 regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook).
- 1+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (i.e., NetSuite, Oracle) a plus.
