Buyer/Planner

Position Title: Buyer/Planner Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 / year, DOE The Buyer/Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring that production has the necessary materials on time. This position involves managing inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. The Buyer/Planner will negotiate with suppliers on pricing and terms while addressing any issues related to delays or quality. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and track costs effectively. The Buyer/Planner will also be involved in building relationships with vendors to enhance supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities Buy materials to ensure timely production & create and update purchase ordersManage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excessCollaborate with suppliers on pricing, timelines, and order specificsResolve issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concernsMaintain accurate systems with updated pricing and order informationTrack costs to help manage spending & identify and evaluate new vendorsBuild strong relationships with suppliers & work with suppliers to improve cost and lead timesMonitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and pricing Requirements 2+ years in purchasing, planning, or supply chainComfortable negotiating pricing and termsHigh school diplomaExperience with inventory, MRP, or procurementExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is preferredStrong Excel skills are preferredExperience in manufacturing or supply chain environments is preferred Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k): Eligible after 3 months with a company matchPTO: Non-exempt employees receive 5 days; exempt employees receive 10 days5 days of paid bereavement leave and partial pay for the first 4 weeks of parental leave If you are a Buyer/Planner looking to take the next step in your career, apply now!
