About the Role

The position requires researching and selecting vendors to solicit quotes and issue purchase orders of medium dollar value and complexity, supporting US Government (USG) and non-USG contracts. Typical procurements include less complex build-to-print assemblies requiring specifications and drawings, as well as COTS software licenses.

Responsibilities

• Discuss price, delivery, and vendor/supplier capability with internal customers
• Research and identify potential vendors/suppliers
• Negotiate price and delivery for responsible commodities
• Administer and maintain purchase orders in compliance with approved procedures
• Establish and maintain good vendor relationships while satisfying internal customers
• Ensure purchase order file documentation is fully compliant with all required elements to maintain a successful Contractor Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR)
• Partner with Supplier Quality and Shipping/Receiving regarding poor quality, order inconsistencies, and damaged products
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3-5 years of experience; or a BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field
• Ability to negotiate medium dollar value purchase orders with limited management oversight
• Ability to complete moderately complex price analysis
• Must comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures
• Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form
• Must not divulge information or afford access to employees without a need-to-know or outside the company without management approval
• All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company-provided resources
• Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role
