About the Role

The position requires researching and selecting vendors to solicit quotes and issue purchase orders of medium dollar value and complexity, supporting both U.S. Government (USG) and non-USG contracts. Typical procurements include less complex build-to-print assemblies requiring specifications and drawings, as well as COTS software licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Discuss price, delivery, and vendor/supplier capability with internal customers.
  • Research and identify potential vendors/suppliers.
  • Negotiate price and delivery for responsible commodities.
  • Administer and maintain purchase orders in compliance with approved procedures.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships while satisfying internal customers.
  • Ensure purchase order file documentation is fully compliant with all required elements to maintain a successful Contractor Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR).
  • Partner with Supplier Quality and Shipping/Receiving to address poor quality, order inconsistencies, and damaged products.
  • Comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form.
  • Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside the company without management approval.
  • Access and store all government and proprietary information electronically on company-provided resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 3-5 years of experience; or a BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a controlled environment with minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions.

Physical Demands

  • May be required to sit for long periods.
