Buyer II

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and maintain purchasing parameters, supplier information, and supply-and-demand balances, and generate and manage purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted production using the company ERP system
• Research the market to identify and develop a robust supply base
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers with an emphasis on cost, quality, and on-time delivery
• Cook up order volumes and material deliveries to obtain optimal pricing
• Cook up strong business relationships with key suppliers by regularly sharing feedback on supply and quality performance and maintaining regular channels of communication
• Ensure that appropriate action is taken in response to component shortages to prevent interruption of product supply

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• 5 years in purchasing with experience in a Manufacturing/Regulated Industry environment
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to anticipate changing business needs related to purchases
• Adaptable self-starter who will effectively develop strategies that drive the company vision, mission, and values
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to effectively support our Internal Teams and key Suppliers
• Experience with sourcing and new project launches is a plus
