Job Location: La Vergne, TN (Nashville area)

Responsibilities

• Procure direct materials based on MRP requirements across departments, ensuring timely availability and adequate inventory levels
• Assist with developing and implementing procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and participate in contract negotiations to secure cost savings and favorable terms
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement guidance
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers, monitor vendor performance, and resolve issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process
• Use procurement tools and systems to track purchases, manage budgets, and report on procurement activity
• Participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives supporting broader organizational goals
• Stay current on best practices in procurement and supply chain management to continuously improve processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, but not required
• 3+ years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
• Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across internal and external teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at once
• Working knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and relevant regulations
• Solid business acumen and understanding of market dynamics and supplier landscapes
• CPIM or CRIM certification a plus
