Core Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned suppliers to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Execute purchasing activities aligned with established sourcing strategies and contracts.
  • Maintain and administer schedule agreements and supplier contracts under manager guidance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and participate in corrective action and improvement efforts.
  • Support cost management initiatives, including price maintenance and cost-reduction activities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to resolve material, delivery, or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate system data to support planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support new product introductions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Supplier on-time delivery and quality performance
  • Cost containment and contribution to savings initiatives
  • Timely execution of purchasing transactions and ECO support
  • Effective issue resolution and cross-functional collaboration

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of supply chain, purchasing, or procurement experience required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills And Abilities

  • Working knowledge of purchasing, supplier management, and supply chain fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate within established parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a structured, execution-focused approach.
  • Able to work independently on routine tasks and collaboratively on complex issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint; Power BI a plus).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and escalate risks appropriately.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred.
