Description
The Buyer I performs standard purchasing tasks to procure materials and services consistent with specified levels of quality, delivery, and total cost, for Client operations supported by Client’s Regional Standard Service Center. Procurement transactions are typically of low risk, total value or criticality to the business.
- Deliver high-quality, cross-culturally competent customer-oriented service within the assigned area of purchases in support of his/her assigned team’s performance objectives.
- Deliveries and change order placement, delivery confirmation including expediting of materials and services from the supplier.
- Payment process resolution.
- Handles internal customer inquiries related to assigned transactions including pricing and delivery.
- Answers incoming phone calls and handling of emails and voicemail messages in a timely fashion.
- Escalates issues, as appropriate to provide overall timely resolution.
- Compliance with our Quality regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience in a purchasing or related field.
- Experience with procurement systems and processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
- Basic understanding of quality regulations and guidelines.
