Buyer - Contract Opportunity

Jobot is working with a manufacturer based in Addison seeking a Buyer. This is a contract position expected to last 1-2 months.

About the role

This opportunity is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with an hourly pay range of $28 - $31.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers to procure materials at the lowest total cost while meeting quality, reliability, and delivery requirements
• Analyze supplier quotations, select vendors, enter purchase orders, and coordinate delivery schedules
• Monitor open purchase orders and proactively expedite deliveries as needed
• Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and performance issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal customers and supplier partners
• Analyze data and prepare reports; provide recommendations related to inventory levels, safety stock, and forecast consumption

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related field
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems
• Knowledge of purchase orders and inventory management
• Familiarity with machines and parts used in metal fabrication
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred
