About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Spare Parts Buyer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for site operations. The successful candidate will ensure timely availability of quality materials at competitive costs while supporting project schedules and maintaining compliance with company procurement policies.

Responsibilities

  • Procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders in line with approved budgets, MRP outputs, and procurement procedures.
  • Liaise with site engineers, project managers, and warehouse teams to identify material needs and plan procurement activities.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve best value.
  • Track supplier performance and ensure orders confirmation and on-time delivery to site.
  • Verify that materials meet required technical, quality, and safety specifications.
  • Follow up on site inventory levels to avoid shortages, overstocking, or delays.
  • Expedite orders delivery and shipment via suppliers and logistics service providers as needed.
  • Resolve delivery issues, shortages, and invoice discrepancies efficiently.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for local category issues.
  • Support the category team as the site representative.
  • Manage the site’s supplier relationships.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in site-based procurement, preferably in manufacturing or project environments.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
  • Good knowledge of procurement systems and MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.

Pay

$72,000 - $117,000
