Buyer
Responsibilities
- Provide material and freight cost estimates to support project planning
- Monitor and fulfill purchase requests in a timely manner
- Analyze supplier offers for best cost savings and delivery outcomes
- Collaborate with suppliers and project teams to resolve issues
- Maintain reporting on delivery commitments and outstanding items
- Follow up with suppliers and teams to ensure timely resolution
- Report supplier performance metrics to internal teams
- Facilitate change orders through the purchasing system
- Manage product returns and warranty exchanges
- Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing discrepancies
- Accurately allocate time and costs to the appropriate project budget
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred)
- 0–2 years of experience in a Buyer or Purchasing Agent role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
- Experience using purchasing software or ERP systems
- Strong negotiation skills for pricing, terms, and vendor agreements
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
