The Sanmina Newark, California facility specializes in precision machining and metal fabrication with 15 years of experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology, and oil & gas markets.

We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities, including in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers, and machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. Our facility can machine components up to 3 meters and offers metal fabrication services such as grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating, and anodizing. We process advanced materials including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous/non-ferrous, and other exotic alloys.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and monitor the supply chain for savings programs.
  • Analyze demand using MRP and/or manual requirements to determine site needs and release RFQs for price and availability.
  • Oversee all Supplier Business (SB) program requests, metrics, and reports; conduct supplier business reviews (SBRs) three times per year.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities, process purchase requisitions in a timely manner, and analyze demand to determine needs.
  • Send RFQs for price and availability, monitor supplier delivery, negotiate price/volume/delivery dates, and process RMAs.
  • Expedite and reschedule orders to meet production requirements.
  • Resolve AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation.
  • Research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead-time parts.
  • Senior Buyers may manage engineering changes, interpret procurement policies, lead process improvement projects, negotiate contracts, and approve PPVs.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, M3K, and key purchasing metrics.
  • Experience with supplier negotiation and flexibility programs (VMI, VCI, 830, etc.).
  • Understanding of MRP and production processes.
  • This is an ITAR facility; applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Education: Degree in Engineering, Administration, or Commerce.
