Buyer

Responsibilities

• Cook up the purchase of materials, parts, and supplies necessary to keep the manufacturing engines running.
• Create, scrutinize, and oversee purchase orders to guarantee precision, timing, and alignment with business objectives.
• Chat with suppliers about costs, order status, lead times, and delivery expectations.
• Build and preserve fruitful vendor connections to assist dependable supply and service performance.
• Maintain a tidy purchase record and documentation to support reporting and operational visibility.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in buying, purchasing, or material procurement.
• Experience with purchase orders and routine purchasing department activities.
• Familiarity with buying processes in a manufacturing or similar operational setting.
• Proficiency in managing vendor relationships professionally and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and follow-through.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a practical understanding of day-to-day buying activities, coupled with sound judgment and organization. They should also have a background in purchasing or related fields, and be able to build and maintain productive vendor relationships.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of ERP systems, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are desirable.
