About the role

This person is responsible for managing component supplies to assure that daily production schedules are maintained. The individual will use SAP and other resources to track requirements and work with suppliers to enable on-time delivery of components. The role has decision-making freedom and is critical to the day-to-day operation of the plant.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing, materials requirements planning, and supplier relationship management
• Develop and execute material strategies that meet customer requirements, company targets, and create stability across the supply chain
• Maintain inventory levels for productive material consistent with production schedules and management directives
• Work with Corporate Purchasing to maximize SAP in supporting customers, suppliers, and inter-company transfer of parts
• Analyze all purchased item requirements from MRP to define current and future demand
• Develop relationships with suppliers and maintain constant communication with them
• Prepare material requisitions and orders using approved suppliers regarding specification, quantities, pricing, due dates, and shipping information as part of daily standard work
• Work with appropriate parties to resolve issues in order scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5–10 years in Purchasing/Procurement (MP&L)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, preferably in Materials Management, Business, or Accounting
• Strong computer skills and experience working with MRP
• Experience with SAP is beneficial

Pay

The salary range for this position is estimated in good faith to be $66,000–$84,000. The specific offer will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related considerations but will be within the stated range.
