About the role

This position is based at our Greenwood, SC facility.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 – $105,000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Responsibilities

• Procure a large variety of complex materials and services to support production requirements for the plant.
• Develop appropriate stocking strategies.
• Work with corporate resources to identify product supply sources and review and negotiate purchase prices.
• Collaborate with the supplier quality team to qualify vendors and ensure materials meet manufacturing specifications.
• Assist with new product development.
• Manage vendor relationships, quality, delivery, and inventory levels in accordance with plant objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of supplier product demands and production scheduling to support timely material availability.
• Locate and select new and alternate sources of supply to meet production requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective contacts and working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare and communicate product specifications to vendors for bid and negotiate with the most favorable bidder(s) considering cost, quality, delivery, etc.
• Award and administer purchase orders and agreements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop, coordinate, and manage alliances with key suppliers.
• Work with facility design engineers to support significant manufacturing project builds.
• Support corporate commodity managers on cost reduction programs.
• Support supplier quality team through participation in the APQP/PPAP qualification process.
• Support cycle counts for specific brands and/or MRO products and help support annual physical inventory.
• Perform other related activities and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or Business from an accredited institution (preferred).
• One year of experience within production, procurement, or engineering within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• APICS CPIM certification (preferred).
• SAP experience (preferred).
