Busser/Runner - The Sports & Social Club

About the Role

The Sports & Social Club is a relaxed sports bar offering classic pub food and tremendous sports viewing in a comfortable tavern setting. Serving lunch, dinner, and a dynamic nightlife, we also provide bowling, live entertainment, and The Eagle—a fully equipped private party room. Our venue features state-of-the-art technology, including two 100-inch high-definition projectors and digital surround sound, making it the perfect place to watch sports and socialize with friends.

Responsibilities

• Provide an energetic, outgoing, and fun personality while maintaining professionalism.
• Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of the proper steps of service.
• Offer polite, professional, and courteous customer service.
• Support serving staff, assisting them in ensuring all customer needs are met in an expedient, courteous, and professional manner.
• Maintain service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.
• Clear and clean tables in a timely manner and reset tables according to specifications.
• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and guests clearly, patiently, courteously, and with good humor.
• Complete all side work as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
• Clear all empty tables and set tables for new guests.
• Restock service stations.

Requirements

• Prior customer service and/or restaurant experience preferred.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages are a plus.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, employees, and third parties.
• Reading and writing abilities to answer guest questions about the menu.
• Basic mathematical skills for frequent use.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required.

Skills & Physical Demands

• Strong ability to provide attention to detail.
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Handling objects (including food and utensils), products, and bussing tubs/trays.
• Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Ability to move about the entire facility safely and efficiently.
