About the role
The team members play a crucial role in the company's success, with a focus on supporting the restaurant's operations and ensuring the health and well-being of both team members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Clearing tables: Removing dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses.
- Resetting tables: Setting tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and napkins.
- Stocking: Refilling condiments, napkins, and other table essentials.
- Serving: Delivering food and beverages when servers are busy.
- Auxiliary duties: Helping with tasks like clearing plates and refilling drinks.
- Cleaning: Wiping down tables and chairs, mopping floors, and vacuuming.
- Polishing: Polishing silverware and glassware.
- Stocking service stations: Ensuring a sufficient supply of napkins, utensils, and other necessary items.
- Maintaining safety and cleanliness: Following restaurant health and safety regulations.
- Closing activities: Cleaning the dining area at the end of the shift, such as stacking chairs and preparing stations for the next day.
- Communicating with staff: Informing servers of table availability and guest needs.
- Auxiliary duties: Assisting with dishwashing, such as scraping, stacking, or loading dishes into the dishwasher.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
- Must possess good guest service skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members.
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
- Able to lift up to 25lbs.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 100 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending.
- Pushes, pulls, stocks and unloads carts and liquor cabinets.
