Busser (Part-Time)

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of workstations and dining rooms.
• Ensure the floor is always clean and presentable.
• Dispose of all refuse accumulated during the shift, including boxes.
• Keep walkways clear of debris, ensuring cleanliness as needed.
• Clear and wipe down tables and remove food trays to maintain a clean and organized presentation.
• Ensure stations are fully stocked with condiments, plastic ware, coffee, and other necessary items, maintaining a well‑organized and efficient setup.
• Restock ice bins at the start of shift and continuously during operations as needed to ensure a steady supply.
• Deliver food and any necessary condiments to guests, ensuring that all items are presented neatly and accurately.
• Assist team members and management on duty with special assignments as needed, providing support and contributing to the efficient operation of the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) months of related experience and/or training preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Perform simple mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members, addressing needs and resolving issues.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Work under pressure, staying calm and efficient during busy periods.

Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations

• May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card.
• Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

The primary work environment is a climate‑controlled casino and resort setting. The position may require travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences. Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. The role demands the ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment. Physical strength sufficient to exert up to 10 lb of force occasionally and up to 40 lb occasionally is required. The job involves sedentary work (sitting most of the time) and constant operation of a computer and office equipment. Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Hearing must be sufficient for conversational levels in person, via videoconference, and over the telephone. Speech must be clear enough to be understood in various settings. Visual acuity must support close‑up tasks such as data entry, reading, and visual inspection. Mobility must allow safe movement in an office environment, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, and operating a motor vehicle for travel to promotional events and meetings. Endurance must support sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods throughout the shift. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including secondhand smoke. Schedule

Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
