Busser/Food Runner

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clear tables after guests leave and take tableware to the dish room
• Between settings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths
• Check the floor and clean as required
• Reset and arrange the tabletop
• Return clean side plates, cups, silverware and bus tubs to the main deck and event deck area
• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to the server immediately
• Deliver food to tables using pivot points
• Remove trash from all areas and transport to the main trash area by the inlet
• Thank guests as they are leaving and consistently demonstrate good customer service skills
• Show flexibility in terms of your schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
• Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness
• Show teamwork by helping out fellow employees when possible
• Complete daily sidework, before, during and at the end of each shift
• Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the business at all times

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years of age
• No previous restaurant experience required
• Good communication skills
• Carry heavy trays (20LBS at least) for long periods of time
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during periods of uncertainty or crisis
• Be able to stand, reach, bend, squat, and lift during shift. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work
• Flexibility of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Compensation

This position pays $15/hour plus tips.
