Busser/Food Runner

About the role

Desert Mountain Club, Inc., located in Scottsdale, Arizona, seeks four full-time, temporary Busser/Food Runners.

Responsibilities

• Set tables with tableware such as plates, glasses, and silverware
• Carry trays and plates
• Clean and clear tables
• Serve water and coffee to customers
• Polish silverware and glassware
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed

Requirements

• Three (3) months of experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end or high-volume restaurant, resort, or private club

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background check required at employer’s expense if not returning from the previous season

Skills

• Attention to detail
• Customer service skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items

Benefits

• Wage: \$19.50 - \$24.69 per hour, paid bi-weekly
• Gratuity-eligible position, so actual wage with tips may occasionally be higher
• Overtime available at \$29.25 - \$37.04 per hour
• Discretionary holiday bonuses may be awarded
• 35 hours per week schedule
• Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours
• Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis
• Health and dental insurance available after 60 days of employment

Additional Compensation

• Discretionary holiday bonuses

Transportation and Subsistence

• Transportation to and from worksite provided for those living in employer-provided housing
• Subsistence provided at a rate of \$16.78 per day during travel, with a maximum of \$68.00 per day with receipts
• Reimbursement for visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees upon completion of employment

Travel

• Travel is never required for more than one hour per day
• Employees are responsible for replacement of lost keys, cleaning, and repair fees of up to \$500.00 upon completion of employment
