Busser - Cadillac Bar

About the role

A busser maintains the restaurant and bar area organized, sanitized, and prepared for guests while delivering professional and personalized service that embodies the Company’s core values: Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity (K.E.E.P.). This is a tipped position.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service with smiles, professional verbiage, escorting guests, allowing guests the right of way, pulling out chairs, acknowledging special events, and engaging in other friendly mannerisms to deliver superior guest service.
• Carry heavy trays efficiently and securely.
• Clear and sanitize tables in a timely manner according to current standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage menus and plate specifications to ensure proper product quality, presentation, and guest experience, including making recommendations and executing sales of featured items.
• Maintain guests’ table tops properly set with silverware rolls, chairs, tables, and all necessary dining supplies.
• Assist guests with any requests during their dining experience.
• Follow the Pivot Point system to prioritize “hot food” and “cold drinks,” and adhere to all aspects of the system, including 360 and room buddies.
• Engage in teamwork by offering help to fellow employees and managers to ensure the finest possible service.
• Follow directions efficiently and positively while maintaining a courteous, respectful, and professional demeanor at all times.
• Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, health, and alcohol laws.
• Maintain the restaurant’s organization, sanitation, and stock levels according to PAR guidelines, including stocking ice, keeping floors clean, and removing debris.
• Create a positive and lasting impression for guests by engaging in conversation, welcoming them, and inviting them back.
• Ensure the restaurant is stocked with rolled silverware and roll silverware as needed.
• Maintain uniform and appearance according to established guidelines.
• Communicate with management regarding guest satisfaction, supply needs, or areas needing attention.
• Turn in all lost and found items to the Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum one-year experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
• Valid health card required.
• Strong people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and respectful demeanor.
• Ability to carry heavy trays and bus-tubs efficiently and securely.
• Thorough knowledge of proper service and etiquette.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• High School Diploma or related degree preferred.
• Minimum age requirement is 18.
