About the role
The Busser maintains the appearance of assigned work areas and stations by cleaning, stocking, and organizing. They deliver and expedite food orders and condiments to guests in various food venues.
Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of workstations and dining rooms.
- Ensures floors are clean and presentable at all times.
- Disposes of refuse accumulated during shifts, including boxes.
- Keeps walkways clear of debris.
- Clears and wipes down tables, removing food trays to maintain cleanliness.
- Stocks stations with condiments, plastic ware, coffee, and other necessary items.
- Restocks ice bins at the start of shifts and as needed during operations.
- Delivers food and condiments to guests, ensuring neat and accurate presentation.
- Assists team members and management with special assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support department operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must perform simple mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Must provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members.
- Must communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Must work calmly and efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
- May require a gaming license at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card.
Physical Requirements
- Primary work environment is climate-controlled in a Casino and Resort setting.
- May require travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- May work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Must work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strength to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and up to 40 pounds occasionally for lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling.
- Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with frequent computer and office machinery use.
- Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Hearing sufficient for conversational levels in person, via videoconference, and over the telephone.
- Speech sufficient to be understood in person, in groups, in meetings, via videoconference, and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer terminals, reading, and inspecting employees, visitors, or facilities.
- Mobility to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and operate a motor vehicle for travel.
- Endurance to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods throughout the work shift.
- Must present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with departmental policy.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including secondhand smoke.
